Mission: Promote and communicate the effective and consistent use of technology to support current and future modes of learning across UMass Chan schools and programs. 

Goals:

  • Advocate for the equitable needs of the Schools and Programs, addressing both shared and school-specific IT requirements.
  • Collaborate to prioritize learning-related IT needs and share resources, including technology, educator development, and data that enhance the user experience.
  • Address key Ed-Tech issues, including access, hardware, and software, ensuring appropriate teams are engaged.
  • Utilize meetings to identify issues and, when needed, establish working groups for focused efforts.
  • Ensure effective communication about the subcommittee’s work with all stakeholders.

  • Competency based Assessment tool for T.H. Chan School of Medicine Students and Faculty (researching if mature tools exist in the market)
  • Implementation of VISTA across applications – PeopleSoft, OASIS, BB Learn, ExamSoft, Top Hat
