The UMass Metabolic Disease Research Center (MDRC) provides elegant and complex molecular experiments to analyze genes and proteins associated with metabolic signaling pathways using Jess Multiplexing Western System and real-time qPCR. These services include molecular analysis of intracellular signaling pathways related to insulin action, glucose and lipid metabolism, glucagon action, and inflammation. The services may also include ultra-sensitive single-plex ELISA measurements of difficult-to-detect analytes or those not available in a multiplexed format.
