Michelle R. Munson, PhD is a Professor and Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs at NYU's Silver School of Social Work. Dr. Munson is an internationally recognized expert in services and interventions for young people transitioning to adulthood with serious mental health conditions, which generally occurs between 16 and 30 years of age.

On May 22, she will be presenting a webinar on the development of the "Just Do You" intervention and one of her current projects called the Young Adult Engagement Project. "Just Do You" is an innovative evidence-informed intervention designed by and with young adults, which has been found to be acceptable, feasible, and practical. It draws upon communication, decision-making, and mental health service use theories to improve young adults' investment in their mental health and their outcomes. The goal of this project is to test the efficacy of "Just Do You" through a randomized clinical trial.
