Wendy Marsh, MD received her BA from Pomona College, Claremont CA and then completed medical school at Wayne State University in Detroit MI. During Medical school she was awarded an NIH fellowship at the National Institute of Mental health (NIMH) where she researched depression and behavioral endocrinology. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Stanford University where she engaged in research in mood and women her final years. She then continued on at Stanford as a fellow in clinical research studying bipolar disorder and reproductive endocrinology on an NIMH Biobehavioral Training Grant. This work produced a number of peer-reviewed journal articles, presentations, and book chapters. Since arriving at the University of Massachusetts she primarily engages in research on bipolar disorder and menopause supported by a career development (K) Award. She also sees patients with a focus on mood disorders in relation to reproductive phases. Dr Marsh is Director, Bipolar Disorders Specialty Clinic.
