Learn about traveling to campus, lodging and dining so your visit will go as smoothly as possible.
Because many people will be traveling to and from campus for UMass Chan Commencement weekend activities, we strongly recommend that you plan your trip well in advance. Limited accommodations are available in area hotels and motels, as well as in local restaurants. 
Please allow plenty of time to travel to campus, park and get to your destination.

Campus parking
All parking lots are open and free on Commencement day (with the exception of the Visitor Garage, which is open but is not free).
Arrangements for inclement weather for Commencement day
If inclement weather is forecast for Commencement day, the Hiatt Auditorium (S1-608) will be available in the Medical School building for those who wish to view the ceremony via live stream. Directions are as follows:
- From the Medical School main entrance, go straight through the lobby to the end of the corridor.
- Turn right.
- The Hiatt Auditorium is located down the hall on your left.
