Departmental Faculty Physician Launch Program
Welcome to the UMass Chan Medical School (UMASS) and the Department of Psychiatry! Your successful development as an academic physician is important to us and to help orient you to the variety of resources, we have here at UMASS, new faculty will be invited to participate in the Department of Psychiatry’s Faculty Physician Launch Program. This program will provide career mentoring and information on the faculty career and professional development resources available at UMass. The CDRO will email new professionals before their start date, to invite them to participate in three (half-hour) Physician Launch Program sessions.
The program includes the following sessions:
- Career Coaching Session: Pheobe Moore, Ph.D.
- Orientation and Faculty Appointments and Promotions Consultation: Janice Robert, Project Coordinator, Academic Affairs & Career Development.
- Educational Opportunities: Auralyd Padilla, M.D., Program Director, Psychiatry Residency Training
These meetings are normally done in person however due to the pandemic they will be held by zoom
