Advisory Committees

Executive Leadership Committee

The Executive Leadership Committee meets monthly to review overall progress and to provide regular communication and coordination between the research and workforce development programs.  Goals are to ensure that the workforce development programs are meeting their objectives and that they are synergizing with each other and the UMass institutional programs to advance career development.  This Committee also provides a forum for initial evaluation of any new proposed workforce development programs.

Operations Committee

The Operations Committee is made up of the Executive Leadership Committee and individual program leads.  This group meets once a month to updated UMCCTS leadership, review data on core and program activities, and to solicit feedback on the day-to-day operations.

External Advisory Committee

The External Advisory Committee conducts an annual review of UMCCTS plans and programs and advises UMCCTS leadership on the strategic direction for the Center.

Steering Review Committee

The Steering Review Committee comprised of the Executive Leadership Committee, plus UMass campus representatives, serves as the internal advising body to the UMCCTS Director for center programs, services, and cores and as a forum for each of the Co-Directors to report on progress for each of the center's programs or components.  The Steering Review Committee makes funding decisions based upon the scientific merits and potential impact of the UMass Life Sciences Moment Fund (LSMF) pilot grant award.

Scientific Review Committee

The Scientific Review Committee comprises faculty from mult-UMass campuses and serves as the internal advising body to the UMCCTS Director for center programs, services, and cores and as a forum for each of the Co-Directors to report on progress for each of the Center programs or components. The Scientific Review Committee makes funding decisions based upon the scientific merits and potential impact of the UMCCTS Pilot Project Program (PPP) pilot grant award.
