Krishna Ghanta
Krishna earned his BS from VIT University in India and later pursued an MS from The George Washington University in Washington, DC. He completed his PhD under the mentorship of Prof. Craig Mello at UMass Medical School, where his research focused on developing protocols for genome editing in C. elegans. He also developed chemically modified donor DNA to enhance the effectiveness of precision genome engineering. In the Watts Lab, Krishna's work is centered on identifying new chemical modifications and techniques to further improve the efficiency of precision editing in mammalian cells and animal zygotes.
