Kim Anh Vu
Kim Anh grew up in Vietnam before relocating to Worcester, MA in 2011. She earned her BS in Chemistry from Worcester State University, where her research centered on synthesizing an antibiotic metabolite for Clostridium difficile injection. In 2023, she joined the Watts Lab to focus on enhancing the stability and editing efficacy of CRISPR guide RNA (gRNA) through chemical modifications. Looking ahead, Kim Anh aims to leverage base editing technology, using fully modified and functional gRNA to target lung diseases. Outside of the lab, she enjoys painting and unwinding in her spare time.
