Karen Kelly

Karen has been with UMass for over 10 years providing in vivo services and surgical procedures in multiple species for the Mouse Metabolic Phenotyping Center (MMPC), Veterinary Services, and Dr. Robert Brown in Neurology before landing with the Watts lab in 2021. She received her Laboratory Animal Technology (LATG) certification in 2007 through the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) and brings over 30 years of experience in animal regulatory compliance/welfare and training of procedures. When not being a lab rat, she enjoys being a barn rat spending time trail riding with her horse Hazel.
