Acoustic Speech Changes:

Acoustic Speech Changes - research in Parkinson's Disease

We are exploring how changes in acoustic features such as pitch, voice quality, and articulation may inform us about the underlying brain changes in Parkinson’s disease. We are using statistical models and machine learning techniques to develop speech biomarkers of motor and cognitive function in Parkinson’s disease. Our goal is to develop an easy-to-administer speech test to diagnose mild cognitive impairment (MCI) in Parkinson’s disease.
