Hesham Malik Presents at American Liver Foundation New England Symposium

The American Liver Foundation, New England Division chose UMass this year for their patient outreach symposium titled 'Living Well with Liver Disease' which was held on Nov 9. Dr. Hesham Malik was invited to educate patients on imaging and answered questions about minimally invasive image guided interventions. The half day symposium was well attended and they received great feedback. Making UMass a perennial site for this outreach is now in the works, thanks to one of our Hepatology colleagues, Dr.Isabel Zacharias, who is on the Medical Advisory Committee for the foundation.
