The Open Society Institute Global Drug Policy Program welcomes drug policy related proposals from organizations worldwide. The program supports a broad range of institutions working in different fields, such as economics, policy, public health, human rights, and the media. Please follow this link for more information on the program and how to submit a proposal.
The Global Drug Policy Program is not currently accepting applications. The program will begin accepting concept papers on a rolling basis on April 1, 2011.
Core Fulbright Scholar Program
The core Fulbright Scholar Program sends 800 U.S. faculty and professionals abroad each year. Grantees lecture and conduct research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields. Deadline: August 1, 2014 (for 2015-2016 grants). Learn More
The Fogarty International Research Collaboration Award (FIRCA) program fosters international research partnerships between NIH-supported scientists and their collaborators in low- and middle-income countries (LMIC). The FIRCA program aims to benefit the research interests of both collaborators while increasing and enhancing research capacity at the LMIC site. Scientists who have an eligible NIH grant may apply. Special consideration will be given to proposed research that addresses significant global health problems, particularly those problems of high relevance to the foreign country or region. Funding of $50,000 per year in direct costs for up to three years is available. This program uses the NIH Small Grant R03 mechanism.
The foreign collaborator must be at an institution in a country defined by The World Bank as low income, lower-middle income or upper-middle income. See The World Bank Country and Lending Groups to identify countries with low- or middle-income economies.
