Katie Couric, Luke O’Neill and Tania Semaan celebrated at 50th Commencement

Katie Couric, award-winning journalist and former host of NBC’s Today show and anchor of CBS Evening News, and co-founder of Stand Up To Cancer; Luke O’Neill, PhD, chair of biochemistry at Trinity College Dublin’s School of Biochemistry and Immunology, leading voice for public health in Ireland, and author; and Tania Issa Semaan, co-founder and director of philanthropic organization The Semaan Foundation, chair of global investment firm Blue Stone Management, Ltd., trustee of the American University of Beirut and advisory board member of AMIDEAST/Lebanon, were awarded honorary degrees at UMass Chan Medical School’s 50th Commencement on Sunday, June 4.
