John Solomonides, MD - Program Director
John has been with the UMass Med/Peds residency program since 1998. He joined the University of Massachusetts after completing his Med/Peds training at Baystate Medical Center and is a graduate of Tufts University and the University of Massachusetts Medical School. As a member of both the pediatric and internal medicine faculty practices at the University campus, he serves as inpatient teaching attending in both departments and has been awarded Teacher of the Year.

Susan Fine, MD – Assistant Program Director 
Susan was born and raised outside of Boston.  After completing her undergraduate degree at Duke University, she returned home to attend UMass Medical School.  She completed her Med/Peds residency training at Brown University in 2009, and again returned to UMass, this time as faculty.  Since her return, she has served as Assistant Program Director of our med/peds program.  She also precepts residents and students in the Westborough Med/Peds clinic.

David Fish, MD  Division Chief
Dave was raised near Boston and earned his undergraduate degree at Providence College. He completed both medical school and his Med/Peds training at UMass.  He is UMass’ first Med/Peds trained hospitalist to practice in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine and splits his time equally between the two specialties.  He also has an interest in transitions of care in children and young adults with chronic disease and cares for adults with cystic fibrosis in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.  Dave remains active with the residency program as a Master Clinician Educator and helps advocate for everything Med/Peds within the institution as Med/Peds division chief.
