Undergraduate and Post-Baccalaureate Research

For current undergraduate students, the Microbiology department participates in the UMass Chan Medical School Summer Undergraduate Research Program, a ten week structured laboratory research experience.

For graduates with Bachelor's or Master's degrees interested in a career in biomedical research, the Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program provides a year-long preparatory coursework and laboratory research experience, with successful students recommended for admission into PhD programs at the Morningside Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences.
