Alyxandr grew up in the heart of Worcester, Massachusetts but was born in Arizona. He received his bachelor's degree in Chemistry at Worcester State University in 2022. Alyx's background in chemistry began with an internship in Biochemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at UMass Chan Medical School. Alyx continued his career at UMass as a Lab Technician and is now a Research Associate in the Khvorova Lab, specializing in oligonucleotide synthesis and non-denaturing duplex HPLC analysis and purification. Outside of the lab, Alyx loves traveling, running, cooking, and spending time with his dog!
