Research Areas

Many different cell types respond to different stimuli by activating similar genes, yet they activate genes at different levels and with different temporal kinetics. To understand the transcriptional gene regulation, we  devised a three pronged approach

Evolution of Cis-Regulatory Elements: Here we take advantage of the comparative genomics to characterize the contribution of non-coding regulatory elements to regulation of gene expression  in the mammalian genomes.

Transcriptional Regulation of Signaling:  In this approach we rely on an inducible cell system model and focus on the dynamics of gene-expression.

Cell Signalling in Autoimmunity : Using single cell technologies we seek to find and eventually treat aberrant cell to cell signaling in the affected tissue.
