About the Duchenne Program

The Duchenne Program is a novel model for modern times, powered by a unique collaboration among the medical, research, and patient communities. Founding clinic director Dr. Brenda Wong, UMass Medical School, UMass Memorial Medical Center, and patient-founded research organization Charley’s Fund work jointly to ensure that the Duchenne Program — the only dedicated Duchenne clinic in the Northeast — delivers world-class results on three key goals:

  • Deliver comprehensive, integrated care
  • Host cutting-edge clinical trials
  • Drive original research and discoveries to power the next wave of breakthroughs
