Celebrates AAPI Month
CALL FOR STORYTELLERS AND RECIPES
To celebrate AAPI month, we are seeking stories and dishes that go with these stories for an event celebrating the intersections of AAPI identity, storytelling, food, and community.
We are currently seeking submissions from learners, faculty, and staff who would like to share a story and a dish/recipe that relates to the story. Specifically, we are seeking:
• A 5-8 minute story to share in front of an audience and/or in a community cookbook
• A prepared dish and/or recipe that connects to this story. If you are able to make the dish, you do not have to make enough to provide a full serving for the audience but just a taste. If you are unable to make the dish, you are welcome to provide a recipe for a community cookbook.
• Sharing of your story and dish/recipe during our AAPI month celebration on Wednesday, May 22nd (details below)The purpose of this event is to connect and honor our identities, traditions, joy, and resilience though storytelling and food.
