Why UMASS?: The environment at UMass has a very “family feel” to it and that is really what immediately piqued my interest in the program. The ease of conversation, the respect that the faculty and residents had for each other, the culture of inclusion, and the overall genuine happiness of the residents are all things that struck me right away on my interview day and have remained true throughout my residency. The quality of the education and robustness of the operative experience, particularly the laparoscopic and robotic experience, at UMass are top notch and prepare residents incredibly well for the real work after residency. I have made both mentors and friends for life at UMass and I am so grateful for the amazing training that I am receiving. I genuinely enjoy coming to work every single day because I work with amazing people and I get to do what I love to do.

Favorite thing to do in Worcester: Pizza night at Birch Tree Bread Company!!!!!
