The H. Brownell Wheeler Lectureship was established in 1996 to honor Dr. Wheeler’s contributions to the establishment of UMass Chan Medical School and as founding Chair of the Department of Surgery.
The lectureship originates from the generous gifts of friends, alumni, and faculty of the UMass Department of Surgery. We also acknowledge the generous contribution of the Smith and Nephew Corporation, our exclusive corporate sponsor.
