About Umass SMSF
UMass SMSF was established in 2003 to permit the discovery of high impact chemical compounds with therapeutic benefits.
It was rebooted in 2014 with joint funding from Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) and Institute for Applied Life Sciences (IALS) and upgraded infrastructure with state of the art automation and chemically diverse compound libraries.
Currently, UMass SMSF is running by a joint core between UMass Chan Medical School and UMass Amherst.
