New library exhibit features art work by children from Bright Horizons

Artwork by children who attend Bright Horizons Child Care Center on the University campus is on display through June 28 in the Lamar Soutter Library. The artwork was inspired by the works of well-known artists. After viewing famous artworks, the children were encouraged to create their own masterpieces using a variety of materials.

“In our Art Café, our children are exposed to and learn about various artists. You will see in this exhibit our focus was Vincent van Gogh and Jackson Pollack,” said Lori Carroll, director of Bright Horizons. “We are thrilled to share with you the ‘works’ of our children!”

Jessica Kilham, MLIS AHIP, manager of library education and clinical services in the Lamar Soutter Library, whose daughter attends the child care center, invited Bright Horizons to create the exhibit.
