An estimated 12,000 people walked in the UMass Medicine Cancer Walk on Sunday, Sept. 29, raising money to support research and care at the Cancer Center of Excellence. While total donations are still being tallied as fundraising continues through the end of the year, organizers reported an increase in corporate sponsorship commitments and an overall increase in donations over last year.
