UMass Diabetes Day 2020 has been canceled due to COVID-19

 


Diabetes Day 2019

Celebrating the Diabetes Center of Excellence (DCOE) as a leading institution for diabetes research and patient care. Our care team provides effective treatment to all UMass Memorial patients living with diabetes. Our research team at UMass Chan Medical School collaborates to investigate the root causes of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, and to develop therapies to improve the quality of life for people living with the condition. Our ultimate goal is a cure for diabetes!

Research Awards

Excellence in Science Awards were presented for exceptional diabetes research and clinical study.  

Poster Session 

More than 40 posters represented our type 1, type 2 and clinical research. The scientists and clinicians presented and discussed their work during the interactive forum. All of the submitted abstracts were eligible for awards & cash prizes. 

50 Year T1D Patient Recognition

Five DCOE patients were recognized for living with type 1 diabetes for 50 or more years. They shared their success stories and reflected on how technology has changed the way they manage diabetes day to day. 

You Make a Difference Awards

Five awards were presented to employees of the UMass Diabetes Center of Excellence who have contributed to our success. They were nominated by their peers.
