Jenny Bram, MD - Burncoat House Mentor

bramJennifer Bram, MD was born and raised in Belmont, MA. She attended the University of VA in Charlottesville, VA for her undergraduate education, earning a B.A. in Biology. She attended the University of MA for medical school, graduating in 2005. She then continued her training in Pediatrics for internship and residency at UMass. She became the Chief Resident and discovered her passion for education and teaching, transitioning into a position in academic primary care pediatrics at UMass Memorial Health Care after graduation.

Currently she serves as medical director of South County Pediatrics in Webster, MA where she is also the school physician for Webster Public Schools. She is the Medical Director of the "Good Fit" Adolescent Weight and Wellness Center at the University campus where she cares for adolescent with obesity and medical co-morbidities. Dr. Bram is an Assistant Professor at UMass Chan Medical School and serves as a leader in the mentoring program, advising and teaching medical students throughout their 4 years. Despite being a generalist at heart, she is also passionate about the prevention and treatment of childhood obesity and is embarking on an NIH funded research study partnering with behavioral medicine related to these interests. She enjoys teaching learners at all levels about these important topics.

Dr. Bram lives in Worcester with her husband and her two daughters. She loves spending time hiking, dancing, and reading with them. She also makes time to knit and practice yoga.
