    Multi-Factor Authentication coming to HR Direct!

    Beginning Tuesday, August 1, 2017, before accessing HR Direct, you will need to enroll a phone number in DUO, our Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) provider. This is a University-wide initiative to ensure that your personal information is protected. MFA requires you to provide something you know (your username and password), and something you have (such as a cell phone and/or landline).  When logging into HR Direct for the first time on or after August 1, 2017, you will be prompted to enroll with DUO. Once complete, you will then follow a simple two-step authentication process when accessing HR Direct. The link below will provide you all the information you need to register for MFA with DUO and prepare you for this important change.

Visual Communications

Once the content strategy; content needs; and the site hierarchy and page layout are defined, UMMS IT can work with our clients to create and combine words, symbols, and images to create a visual representation of the core mission, goals, ideas and messages that we want to visually communicate via the web. Our graphic design team will use a combination of typography, visual arts and page layout techniques to produce a final result that is consistent with UMMS branding.

We will use our visual design expertise to accomplish this by leveraging the current UMMS identity (logos and branding, website graphics and elements) to meet the following goals:

  • Create a clear visual hierarchy of contrast, so you can see at a glance what is important and what is peripheral;
  • Define functional regions of the page; and
  • Group page elements that are related, so that you can see structure in the content
