International Agreements Overview

Introduction: International Support Services (ISS), in collaboration with the Office of Management, assists schools, faculty, and students in the development, negotiation and approval of international agreements with various institutions and organizations (including other medical schools, research institutions, governments and non-governmental organizations).  All requests for assistance in developing any international document should be submitted to ISS by email as early as possible, as typical review and turnaround time is 2-4 weeks.  

Types of Agreements: ISS maintains a database of current and past agreements and will assist in developing documentation for any of the following:

  • Collaboration agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with foreign partners
  • Letters of Agreement or Partnership Agreements for international projects or experiences (research, clinical, service and cultural activities)
  • Exchange of academic materials, publications and other information
  • Formalized participation in seminars, workshops and academic meetings
