Inclusive faculty recruitment and retention

The Office of Health Equity seeks to hire 5 tenure-track positions through the UMass Chan Cluster Hire Program, which aims to build a self-reinforcing community of diverse scientists committed to inclusive excellence. Candidates will be considered from broad research areas, including basic, clinical, translational, implementation, and community research..

In addition, the Health Equity Recruitment and Career Advancement (HERCA) program, established in 2021, aims to broaden perspectives among clinical and teaching faculty. HERCA offers up to 10 awards each fiscal year to faculty who advance UMass Chan's strategic Health Equity goals by broadening representation among the clinical teaching population, which includes a supplemental compensation benefit, a dedicated mentor, and a personally-tailored mentoring plan. Department chairs can nominate faculty recruits by submitting this form.
