Learn about career paths with fellow students and postdocs and a career mentor

Each career pathway has small group, learning communities. What's a learning community you ask?

Learning community = YOU + other grad students & postdocs + career mentor

What to expect:

  • Each learning community meets at least 4 times per calendar year
  • 1 of the meetings is focused on discussing and receiving feedback about your IDP as it relates to the career pathway
  • Meetings are led by student co-leaders who have been trained in meeting facilitation and leadership
  • A career mentor who is currently in a position in the career pathway attends each meeting

After that...the sky's the limit!

  • Learning community activities are driven by students and postdocs a few examples of learning community organized activities include:
    • Tip/resource of the week tweet
    • Blog post
    • Career panel
    • Quick quide to career pathway lingo
