Applying to the Diagnostic Radiology Residency

Integrated IR residency applicants should apply using ERAS. Interviews are granted after review of the completed application including medical school transcripts, letters of recommendation, personal statement, and USMLE scores. The education committee performs the interviews and the residency participates in the NRMP match.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must be:
• Graduates of U.S. or Canadian medical schools accredited by LCME;
• Graduates of U.S. colleges of osteopathic medicine accredited by AOA;
• Graduates of international medical schools with either valid ECFMG certificate or full unrestricted license to practice medicine in Massachusetts; or
• Graduates of international medical schools who have completed fifth pathway program by an LCME-accredited medical school.
• Successful completion of USMLE step I
• Successfule completion of an internship year – a clinical year in a program accredited by ACGME or Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in internal medicine, surgery, OB/GYN, neurology, family medicine, emergency medicine, or transitional program with less than two months of elective in radiology
• Eligibility for employment at UMass Memorial Medical Center and licensure in Massachusetts.
