Our campus conversation, Cultivating a Culture of Respect, facilitated by Candi Castleberry Singleton,  is part of our system-wide diversity competence education initiative, Bullying: Beyond Finger-Pointing to a Culture of Respect.  We are pleased to welcome Candi for this very important conversation to assist us in a campus assessment and developing diversity competencies that enhance our culture of respect.

11th Annual Veterans Inc. Stand Down

It is the beginning of summer and it is not about defeat; it’s about the-feet!  Everyone should have low cut socks and flip-flops to help make their way through hot summer days. Clean, new, unused socks and flip-flops are needed for men, women, and children.  Donations will be collected over the next two weeks and delivered to Veterans Inc. on July 16th.

Week Three - Embodying Presence: Connecting Mind & Body - 10 min mindful exercise

THIS WEEK, WE INVITE YOU to practice a brief 2-5 minute body scan before getting out of bed in the morning. After the morning alarm sounds, see if you can stay for just a short while, creating some space to attend to the body as it wakes up – starting with the feet and slowly making your way up to the crown of the head – simply noticing with compassion all of the physical sensations that are present.
