Sunny outlook for green energy in Massachusetts

Melissa Lucas, energy and sustainability manager, talks about the advantages of solar power and the 30-year agreements UMass Chan Medical School recently signed with three solar farms in Western Massachusetts. Over the course of the agreements, UMMS is projected to save a third off its current energy costs—an equivalent of $715,000 annually at today’s rates.
