Colleen Camenisch is a full-time teacher at the Center for Mindfulness. She moved to Massachusetts after attending an MBSR program at the UMASS Center for Mindfulness, a program that changed her life. Since the program, Colleen has completed all of the professional training through the Oasis Institute, and has attended several retreats.
Prior to joining the teaching faculty at the Center for Mindfulness, she offered both the MBSR program and mindfulness retreats in the Reno/Carson, Nevada area where she taught for 5 years. She has taught mindfulness programs in variety of settings including: universities, medical schools, hospitals, businesses and professional education courses for MFT’s, LCSW’s and psychologists.
In addition to Mindfulness, her other professional experience includes a Master’s Degree in Business from the University of Nevada and a Bachelor’s Degree in marketing. She also had the opportunity to study at the United Nations International Labor Organization. Her practical business skills coupled with her extensive formal education have brought a unique combination of professionalism, knowledge, and sincere compassion to all of her work.
