Participate in Research
Conquering Diseases is the name given to a research project that hopes to discover the keys to better health in our community. The Conquering Diseases Program is a partnership between community members, the patients being cared for by the health professionals of UMass Memorial and the research community.
The Conquering Diseases Program consists of three components: a Clinical Research Volunteer Registry, a Biorepository, and a Community Resource Center. These three components are available to researchers, patients and community members alike.
The ultimate goal of Conquering Diseases is to gain a better understanding of the diseases our patients suffer from, how to prevent, and better treat these afflictions. The Conquering Diseases programs are supported by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences, National Institutes of Health.
The All of Us Research Program aims to accelerate medical breakthroughs by gathering information from many different people, so health care providers can deliver treatments and prevention strategies based on people’s individual differences.
Per the NIH: “The All of Us Research Program is a historic effort to gather data from one million or more people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. By taking into account individual differences in lifestyle, environment, and biology, researchers will uncover paths toward delivering precision medicine.”
