Advanced Fellowship:  Gill Heart & Vascular Institute at University of Kentucky (Advanced Heart Failure & Transplant Cardiology)

Hobbies/Interests: Spending time with family, music, guitar, snowboarding.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? High volume and acuity center, one of the attendings from my general fellowship was a UMass IC fellowship graduate, so I saw the skilled interventionalists the program produces.

What are your favorite Central Mass activities? My little daughter absolutely loves the museums in both Worcester and Boston, we also had an amazing time driving down to the Cape Cod for a weekend. I cannot wait for the winter as Wachusett Mountain is supposed to be a decent snowboarding/skiing spot that is very close by.

Lisa DykeLisa Dyke, MD

Hometown: Savannah, GA
Med School: St. George's University School of Medicine
Residency: Orlando Health
Fellowship: Medical College of Georgia

Hobbies/Interests: Tennis (I played Division 1 tennis in college), college football (Go Dawgs), hockey, soccer, video games, scuba diving, cooking, glass blowing, trivia, adventure travel, my family and dog, and collecting antique medical literature.

Why did you choose UMass Chan for fellowship? High patient volume and acuity, diverse pathologies, great attendings to learn from.

What are your favorite Central Mass activities? When I have a free weekend, I typically travel. I like taking the train to New York City or Philadelphia to visit my fellowship friends, or I travel home to Georgia to visit my family and other friends. When I am not travelling home, I spend my time with my co-fellow and his wife.
