Research Focus - Discovery of Therapeutically Targetable Pathways in Cancer

  • Identification of new genes and regulatory pathways that promote or prevent cancer using transcription-based approaches, functional screens (RNAi and CRISPR) and genomics methods
  • Elucidation of cancer drug resistance mechanisms
  • Modulation of gene expression as a therapeutic approach
  • Development of new gene therapy approaches, such as AAV-mediated delivery of secreted tumor suppressor proteins (with Guangping Gao)
