Rates, Services and Policies

The Anatomy Resource Center is located in the UMass Chan Medical School.  The space is versatile, allowing for a variety of courses, surgical trainings, and research opportunities.

Rates and Services

There is a fee for use of the space and/or anatomical material offered by the anatomy Resource Center.  The cost of a whole body anatomical donor includes 8 hours of lab use.  Use of on-hand specimens will only incur a lab use fee, which can be rated hourly.  Contact Amanda Collins to discuss your needs and receive and estimate.

Lab use fees cover: space set up and clean up, cleaning of lab tools, use of space technology, Personal Protective Equipment

Reservation Policy

All reservations must be completed through Director of Anatomic Service, Amanda Collins.  Courses using the lab will always have priority over lab space and equipment, but generally reservations are given priority as they are received.

When a date is requested, space and equipment needs will need to be assessed by Anatomy Resource Center staff. If the space is available, the reservation will be tentatively scheduled while the fees for use are approved.  Once the fees have been approved by the requesting department, the reservation will be confirmed and placed on the lab schedule.

Fee Payment Policy

All activities in the lab will be assessed a fee. Please contact the Director of Anatomic Services, Amanda Collins, for an estimate.  All estimates must be approved by an administrator with authority to make financial decisions for the requesting department/entity. Once the estimate has been approved an submitted to the Anatomy Resource Center staff accountant, an invoice will be issued for payment and scheduling will be confirmed.

Anatomy Resource Center Use Policies

All activities in the anatomy lab must be pre-approved by the Director of Anatomic Service, Amanda Collins. Before scheduling your activity, if you desire a tour of the space, one may be requested and coordinated with Anatomy Resource Center staff. Individuals with Anatomy Lab access must continue to coordinate use and availability of space.  All lab rules must be adhered to I order to continue use of the space and equipment. Infractions will receive a written warning and subsequent infractions will result in the loss of the ability to reserve the space.
