Quality Improvement Initiatives

1.  Lead radiologist on PeerVue Program Implementation team.

• Provided major input for development of PeerVue program (attended weekly webex development meetings).
• Expecting of rollout of new program within 1 month.

2.  Developed/implemented new policy for IV contrast administration to patients with diminished renal function that now reflects current standards of practice and evidence for safety.

3.  Developed and implemented “digital block” with IT representatives.

• Prevented images being added to patient folders/studies in PACS that have completed radiologist reports without the radiologist’s knowledge.

4.  Currently developing new critical results reporting policy with radiology chairman and lead radiology administrator.

5.  Reviewing/updating contrast extravasation policy.
