Emeritus
The title of Emeritus is awarded to a faculty member on retirement. The title is only awarded to a faculty member who has achieved the level of Full Professor, has attained international recognition in his/her academic discipline,
and who been an active member of the faculty for at least ten years
prior to retirement. The term "Emeritus" follows the academic title: e.g., Professor of Medicine Emeritus. See Article 5, Section 5.11, of the Academic Personnel Policy.
