Are you looking for a mentor?
Do you want to add to your mentoring network to meet a specific need?
Do you need guidance on an existing mentoring relationship?
Individual Mentoring Consultations are designed to help faculty identify a mentor, establish a mentoring relationship, or provide guidance on a current mentoring relationship. The consultations are one hour and are conducted by an Office of Faculty Affairs (OFA) faculty member.
If you need help to identify a mentor, please consider registering for a Find a Mentor Workshop before scheduling an individual consultation.
How to Schedule a Consultation
To request a consultation call Kathleen Rancourt (508.856.3382) or click on the email link: firstname.lastname@example.org. Include any specific requests in the email. We will contact you with potential dates and times and further information.
What to Expect
Prior to the Consultation:
Please complete Step 1 (Define Your Needs) on the Find a Mentor website and submit either a Mentoring Checklist or a Functional Mentoring Worksheet with your curriculum vitae to OFA one week before the consultation.
Sessions are generally held in the consultant’s office located on the University Campus, although arrangements can be made for the Memorial campus. The consultant will review the faculty member’s CV and other materials prior to the session and will facilitate a discussion with the faculty member to meet their objectives and develop a plan for next steps.
The meeting is confidential: nothing will be communicated to anyone else, such as your chair, chief or supervisor, without your explicit permission.
