In preparation for a major addition to the South Road garage, the parking spaces along the east wall (facing Lake Avenue), on all levels, will be taken out of service on Sept. 28. They will remain fenced off for several months as construction proceeds.
There will be no changes to the parking rules during construction. Employees who participate in the unreserved parking program can continue to park only in designated spots, on a first-come, first-served basis. Given the temporary reduction in spaces, employees are urged to consider parking in the Pine Tree Lot as an alternative during this time.
The garage expansion will add 335 parking spaces to the garage, bringing capacity to 1,840 spaces when completed.
