UMass Medical School and UMass Memorial Medical Center community members are invited to “pick up the pace” in the fight against cancer by participating in the 2015 UMass Medicine Cancer Walk and 5K Run, and can learn more at a series of open houses being held over the next two weeks.

Attendees at the two-hour sessions, being held at several locations, will have the opportunity to meet the Cancer Walk staff, receive team leader kits and learn about creative fundraising ideas which raise money for care and research at the UMass Medicine Cancer Center of Excellence.

The 17th annual Cancer Walk will take place on Sunday, Sept. 27, starting on the University Campus green.

All open houses run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
