Exhibit ‘Our Stories’ marks Disabilities and Employment Awareness Month

UMass Medical School will mark Disabilities and Employment Awareness Month with the photographic exhibit Our Stories: Celebrating Four Decades of Living in the Community. The exhibit, created by MAB Community Services, a Boston-based agency that serves individuals with traumatic brain injury, developmental disabilities and impaired vision, shares stories of individuals with disabilities who have not only survived but thrived outside of institutional settings.

The exhibit will open on Wednesday, Oct. 1, with a reception in the Lamar Soutter Library from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. It will remain on display in the library through Monday, Nov. 3. To learn more, visit http://www.mabcommunity.org/newsroom/440.html.

The travelling exhibit was brought to campus by the UMass Medical School and UMass Memorial Health Care’s Council on Equal Opportunity and Diversity's Disabilities Committee; the Diversity and Inclusion Office; the Lamar Soutter Library; and Work Without Limits.
