UMass Medical School will again support the influenza immunization policy that UMass Memorial Medical Center issued last year. The policy, which requires that all personnel who work in clinical areas receive flu vaccinations unless they are exempt for medical or religious reasons, pertains to employees as well as residents and medical and nursing students. All other employees of the UMMS/UMass Memorial community are strongly encouraged to get a flu shots.
Flu shots will be available at fairs held across many Medical Center and Medical School locations and details will be announced when the schedule is set. Employees can also receive flu shots on a walk-in basis from Employee Health Services offices and students can receive shots from Student Health Services.
