Cyber security expert to speak

A nationally known expert in information security will speak about personal information and identity safety at UMass Medical School to mark Cyber Security Awareness Month in October. The free, one-hour talk by John Sileo, CEO of The Sileo Group, will take place on Thursday, Oct. 24, at 10:30 a.m. in the Sherman Center Auditorium, and is open to all UMMS community members.

Sileo will also speak at the Shrewsbury campus on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 10:30 a.m. in the South Street Amphitheater. Employees who work at South Street can either attend the event in Shrewsbury or at the Worcester campus if space is available.

The talk is sponsored by the UMass Information Security Program, a University-wide shared-service initiative under the sponsorship of the University IT Steering Committee and the University Information Technology Leadership Council.
