Chancellor Michael F. Collins examined the impact of UMass Medical School on the Worcester economy during This Week in Business on New England Cable News recently. During the 11 minute interview Dr. Collins talked about the attributes that make UMass Medical School unique among the nation’s medical colleges. Among the topics discussed are the Medical School’s burgeoning research enterprise, its role in educating primary care physicians for the commonwealth and construction of the 514,000-square-foot Sherman Center.
