Gene linked to circadian rhythm identified

Scientists at the UMass Medical School have identified a novel gene that calibrates circadian rhythms in the experimental model organism Drosophila, and that may have potential implications for neurodegenerative disorders in humans including spinocerebellar ataxia, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and Parkinson’s disease.

Worcester Tech students see their futures in the Albert Sherman Center

The purpose of the field trip, which included HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting/design and environmental students, was to showcase the latest technology in the construction field, with an emphasis on LEED construction.
