Boston Globe, Brian O'Sullivan, MD, professor of pediatrics and director of the UMMS Bioethics Core, commented on a controversial pitch for participation in a hepatitis C drug trial made by a Harvard Medical School scientist. Ethicists have criticized the way in which the researcher presented the idea of the trial to a group of Exeter Hospital patients who were exposed to the virus by a technician now under federal indictment.
